Galliford Try has announced that two of its senior managers have been shortlisted for the National Business Women’s Awards 2026. The recognition highlights their work in promoting diversity in engineering and strengthening social impact across the company’s construction services operations.

Katherine Kinsey, discipline manager for electrical, instrumentation, control and automation in the company’s Environment division, has been named a finalist in the Women in Construction category. She has worked on securing accreditation from the Institution of Engineering and Technology and has developed a graduate technical pathway for the Environment business. She has also supported mentoring programmes and STEM outreach activities aimed at increasing the number of women in engineering roles.

Kat Robinson, head of customer service in the same division, has been shortlisted in the Social Impact category. She has focused on embedding social value into customer service operations and partnerships. She expanded her team from one to six members and set up an internal charity and sponsorship committee. She also introduced a social value measurement tool called “Thrive” and increased the number of STEM ambassadors supporting outreach programmes.

Galliford Try’s Environment business managing director said the nominations reflect the dedication, leadership, and positive contribution of both employees.

The awards recognise professionals who have made strong contributions to business performance, inclusion, and community development across industries in the first half of the year.
