Background-

Callum Bond is the new sales director at SEPHRA Europe, stepping into the role as the business has doubled in size.

The Kirkcaldy-based foodservice firm promoted Bond from his role as sales and business development manager. He will now oversee commercial agreements and manage relationships with distribution partners across the retail and foodservice sectors.

The appointment comes as the company projects group turnover above £20 million across its international operations.

Bond joined the dessert company 11 years ago to project manage the launch of Sephra Popcorn, its retail popcorn division. Under his lead, the division grew its stockist network and flavor range. It recently entered the bagged popcorn market with 100g and 70g bags in three flavors, all of which meet regulations for foods high in fat, salt and sugar.

Bond said the team steered through shifting market conditions by keeping customers at the center and kept gaining market share, which he called a real achievement. He added that he will manage key customer relationships and commercial agreements while upholding the company’s ethos of creating solutions.

David Archer, managing director and founder of SEPHRA, said Bond has shown enthusiasm, a willingness to learn and the ability to lead and motivate a team. He called the promotion a natural fit.

The company has its European headquarters in Fife, Scotland, and a US division in Pennsylvania. It employs 35 staff in the UK and four in the US, and supplies business and consumer clients in more than 70 countries.
