Caerphilly County Borough has welcomed a new flexible workspace built to back entrepreneurs, freelancers, startups and businesses on the rise. The Bridge Business Hub sets out to give local businesses a modern, affordable and professional space where they can meet, work together and grow.
Sitting at the heart of the community, the hub answers the shifting demands of modern working life, offering hot desks, private offices, meeting rooms and event space under one roof.
Desk space costs from 15 pounds a day, and private enclosed offices run from 25 pounds a day. Businesses can book fully equipped meeting rooms for 40 pounds a half day or 60 pounds for a full day, with event space also up for request.
Those after regular access can sign up for monthly membership packages starting at 50 pounds.
Beyond desk space, the hub packs in extras to keep day-to-day operations running smoothly, among them high speed Wi-Fi, free on-site parking, tea and coffee facilities, a fridge and water station, and professional business address options.
Members also get discounted rates on meeting room hire, a perk meant to spark more networking and collaboration across the local business scene.
The launch sits within a wider push to support local enterprise and lift economic growth across the region, with the goal of clearing away obstacles that often stop businesses from expanding.
Councillor Jamie Pritchard, Leader of Caerphilly County Borough Council, said the hub is shaping up to become a hub of business activity in the area.
He said the space offers far more than desks, pointing instead to its role in creating opportunities, forging connections and backing businesses at every stage of growth, and added that the council looks forward to bringing in a varied mix of professionals.
The council said the space works for all kinds of users, from freelancers after a productive spot for the day to established firms hunting for a long-term base.
