Background

Expoline and ACL Airshop recently met to discuss growing their long-term partnership in Korea. Expoline handles cargo logistics and exhibition work in the country, while ACL Airshop specialises globally in Unit Load Devices (ULDs), the equipment used to move air cargo.

The two firms focused on increasing ULD supply to airlines under contract in Korea and expanding the use of specialised containers built for special cargo. Expoline has acted as ACL Airshop’s partner agent in Korea since the companies first struck a deal in 2020, and both sides say business between them has climbed more than 190% since then.

Expoline oversees ULD operations and offers air cargo handling through its bonded warehouse and a dedicated team based at Incheon International Airport. The company holds E and F passes, giving it access to the airport’s airside apron area.

Talks also turned to introducing a more advanced management system, one that would let both companies track inventory in real time, monitor equipment as it moves, and run operations more efficiently overall. While in Korea, the ACL Airshop delegation visited Expoline’s airport team on-site at Incheon to see the operation firsthand.

An Expoline representative said the meeting should help deepen the partnership and open up new opportunities for both companies as Korea’s cargo market continues to grow.
