Background
In collaboration with Google Cloud, the Swedish private equity company EQT has formed an alliance to help more than 300 companies in its portfolio adopt AI technology at a faster pace. This partnership will help companies belonging to various sectors, like enterprise software, health care, technology, and many others, to use advanced AI tools, cybersecurity products, and technical support.
According to the deal, these companies can avail of Google Cloud’s AI services, which include the use of the Gemini Enterprise Agent platform to create applications and optimize their business processes. They will also get early access to certain new AI products being launched by Google Cloud.
The reason why organizations all around the globe have started investing more in AI technologies is because it helps organizations become efficient and gain a competitive edge in terms of automating processes. With the rising demand for AI implementation, there is also an increasing requirement for engineers and consultants to design and customize this technology.
Google engineers will collaborate with EQT’s AI transformation team, which comprises 35 specialists. EQT and its portfolio businesses will also gain access to Google Cloud’s partner ecosystem, including more than 330,000 professionals from leading consulting firms such as Accenture, Deloitte, and KPMG.
The agreement also creates new opportunities for software companies within EQT’s portfolio. Eligible firms will be able to offer their products through Google Cloud’s online marketplace, expanding their reach to business customers worldwide.
The deal follows similar AI-focused partnerships announced by Google Cloud in April with private equity firms Vista Equity Partners and Thoma Bravo. Across the industry, investment firms are increasingly partnering with AI providers to help portfolio companies adopt emerging technologies and strengthen long-term growth.
EQT said the collaboration would support management teams in preparing their businesses for an increasingly AI-driven economy.
